Sad to hear that the "Time to make the donuts" dude passed away. His commercials were definitely some of my favorites as a kid.
Reading this may not be so funny, but watching it was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. SNL has actually shown some promise this year!
Walking to work this morning took on a surreal feeling. The streets of NY are empty on a non-holiday Tuesday morning due to the transit strike that just started. While I feel bad for the workers, I can't help but feel even worse for the public and the city in general that will be hurt so much by this. Let's hope that it ends quickly (although it doesn't look like it will) and that I can manage to get back home on Thursday without to much trouble!
Google released their new mobile version of Gmail aimed at US cell phone users 2 days ago. I am using it with a Treo 600 (I know - I am behind the times!) and I must say I am not too impressed so far. First of all I get a message that they are using an invalid SSL certificate - what's up with that? Then there is the issue of the interface - while I love the way it dynamically changes on the full web version, they have not seemed to make a good transition for the mobile version. One nice thing is that it does seem to stream attachments rather quickly, but I can not figure out why it will show a preview for some JPG files and not for others. I thought it may have to do with size of the picture, but that does not seem to be the case. Oh well - guess I'll stick with my Exchange/Goodlink mail on the Treo.
