Google released their new mobile version of Gmail aimed at US cell phone users 2 days ago. I am using it with a Treo 600 (I know - I am behind the times!) and I must say I am not too impressed so far. First of all I get a message that they are using an invalid SSL certificate - what's up with that? Then there is the issue of the interface - while I love the way it dynamically changes on the full web version, they have not seemed to make a good transition for the mobile version. One nice thing is that it does seem to stream attachments rather quickly, but I can not figure out why it will show a preview for some JPG files and not for others. I thought it may have to do with size of the picture, but that does not seem to be the case. Oh well - guess I'll stick with my Exchange/Goodlink mail on the Treo.

I get no SSL certificate error and the thing about WAP is that it isn't going to include all the AJAXy stuff that goes on the website. If you want the website, use the website. If you want to access your MAIL mobilly, then use Gmail mobile. It's supposed to be lightweight.
