RSS Reader suggestions?

I am currently using rssreader and have been running into some problems with it.
1. It takes up a ton of memory
2. Recently it has been taking a half hour or more to startup. I have reinstalled a number of times and it has not helped.
3. This week all of my previously saved entries disappeared.
4. Today it decided to stop updating feeds all-together.

So does anyone have any suggestions for a good reader? Also, if anyone knows how to import or convert the feed backup that rssreader uses (an xml file) that would be helpful.

Depends if you are on a Mac or a Windows machine. I'll assume windows, so I would check out FeedDemon (built in support for BD). If you want to go web-based, try Bloglines.

I used FeedDemon before and am currently using Bloglines. So far, I like Bloglines. I've particularly found the Firefox extensions for Bloglines to be helpful.

I concur: Bloglines
You can even use Bloglines to create your blogroll.

I am a huge fan of FeedDemon. I am not a particularly large fan of browser-based aggregators, and part of that is borne from my slavish addiction to clients.

If you are on Linux, look at aKregator, which runs on KDE. It is quite nice.

Both clients support the import of OPML files, which is a handy way to maintain the feeds you subscribe to.

I like the Sage extension for Firefox. It integrates nicely into the browser so I don't need to keep an extra application running.

Just grab it from Tools | Extensions | Get More Extensions, then click on News Reading in the side menu.

I personally use RSSOwl. http://www.rssowl.org/

It was recently announced as sourceforge's project of the month.
