I think a lot about a line in the REM song “Losing My Religion” - “Life, it’s bigger… it’s bigger than you, and you are not me” - I feel this way a lot. There are people who go through life not realizing what they are capable of. What makes one person able to grow to a position of importance more than any other person? Are they really any better than the next person? I don’t think so. I think they just recognize what REM are saying here – that if you simply realize how big life is and what one can really accomplish then you can do anything.
