in America who had no idea that Jimmy Fallon was leaving SNL? I am sad. He seems to have a lot of talent and certainly can keep you laughing (especially when he's with Horatio Sanz), but the odds are pretty well stacked against him for having any success in his post-SNL life.
Posted by ravomess at May 16, 2004 09:52 AMI didn't watch last night but Greg called me from Vermont this morning very disturbed that it was JF's last show. We are huge Jimmy Fallon fans. I am with you on the Horatio Sanz stuff. They can't control themselves when they are together!
Posted by: peninah at May 16, 2004 05:54 PMThem not being able to control themselves is what made me dislike them both. Granted, I've been off the SNL horse for a while, but Jimmy Fallon's constant mugging and really-trying-hard-to-just-not-crack-up act grated on me terribly and helped drive me away. However, I never liked Will Ferrell on SNL either and I have a serious non-sexual man-crush on him now, so you never know once Jimmy Fallon goes out into the unprotected by Lorne Michaels world...
Posted by: dabrettman at May 16, 2004 06:39 PMMore I thought about it the more I realized that the guys do seem to be having decent luck in their post-SNL careers. It's just the gals who have seemed to go nowhere. I wonder why that is?
Posted by: ravomess at May 17, 2004 12:27 PMYeah, SNL is one of my favorties but JF was not. Yeah i liked his musical pardoies but that was about it.
BTW, i was trying to send a trackback but i could find the ping address.
