What makes people sitting on an airplane think that I really care for a blow by blow description of what their job is and what it entails. I didn’t pay money to sit next to you – I paid to get to my destination. As a matter of fact, I would probably pay more money not to sit next to you.

But if you happen to speak a foreign language, don't ever volunteer that information if they ask. I was once on a 5 hour flight and volunteered that I spoke some Spanish. They sat a very drunk latino next to me, who proceeded to spend the rest of the flight asking me questions about religion, in Spanish.
