Saturday night I am planning on packing up everyone in the car and driving down to Atlanta for 10 days with the in-laws. As scary as that sounds (the drive part, not the in-laws - they are fun!) I've done it a bunch of times before straight through the night and the biggest issue has always been how tired I am when I get there. I usually end up sleeping for like 20 hours straight and even then I wake up tired. So this time I am thinking of doing something different and driving to about halfway (somewhere in North Carolina) finding a hotel and then doing something with the family in NC before tackling the second half of the journey. Only problem is that I have no idea what there is to do in NC except college basketball and they won't even be in town. So.... anyone have any ideas of what to do in North Carolina?
