Quick question

Technology vs. People - which needs to outpace the other to have a solid organization? Discuss.

What's the point in having the technology outpace the people; it's no good to you if you don't know how to use it.

Get good people, then good technology. Fact is, good people can make do with less than perfect technology.

People need to, almost every time.

I've been involved in software projects where either the standards are not in place correctly or the vision for the future is not well-defined. The result has been that the final software has been cumbersome to use and a poor implementation of what would be genuinely helpful for the organization. The technology was more than capable, but the vision and leadership failed to make good usage of it.

You lie. It was me.

I agree with the comments made - people are the source of quality. I was just wondering what other people thought as well!
